WHAT IS YOGA THERAPY

Yoga therapists have in-depth training to help them assess clients and keep them safe as they utilize yoga, breathwork, mediation and prayer to enhance their clients health and well-being.   As a yoga therapist I work with you to address your specific goals while considering any limitations you might be experiencing. The practices  I recommend could include:

  • Movement ranging from gentle to vigorous

  • Breathing techniques

  • Meditation or visualization practices

  • Physical postures that address specific areas of discomfort or musculoskeletal imbalances

  • Any combination of the above!

It all depends on what you need to increase your health and well-being.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT?

As your Yoga Therapist I recognize that every moment of your life is sacred: your relationships, your struggles, your victories and your efforts to seek the Holiest of Holy in the midst of it all.  I am here to understand your goals and needs and then instruct and encourage you to meet them in a safe quiet space.

 

In your initial consultation we discuss your needs and goals and then determine what will best suit you in a therapeutic yoga practice. I specialize in trauma recovery, mindfulness and breathwork.  I also have specialties in Yin, Pre and Post natal, and Chair as well as my Yoga Therapy Certification.

Hello friends. I’m Jane Hanna Stoudt, a yoga therapist and life coach with a Catholic viewpoint that sees the good in all people and the benefits of contemplative living in drawing closer to Christ.  

 

I have a very intentional and contemplative approach while honoring my clients life history, personality, and, above all spirituality.  I believe that all life's moments are sacred and are to be honored through gratitude and honest prayer with our Father. 

I am a certified Yoga Therapist and a Founding Master Trainer R-CYAMT with the Christian Yoga Association. My  specialties in meditation, contemplation and breathwork are the foundation of my yoga therapy practice. My focus is on trauma recovery and I have worked with many first responders, veterans and women who have utilized yoga therapy to find healing in quiet spaces with the Father.

 

My art is internationally collected and can be found on Sacred Seasons and Holy Beautiful journals that are used for creative contemplation. I believe art is an excellent therapeutic tool for healing and I integrate it in my retreats for my clients. 

 

God the Father is the cornerstone of my yoga therapy practice and through the art of discernment I am able to help others  to be still and hear His voice. 

 

I am also an advocate of the benefits of contemplative art practice, lectio divina and visio divina and teach courses on integrating these practices into your life. My retreats involve contemplation, therapeutic art and spiritual direciton.
